Barton Fink
the Coen Brothers - 1991

A successful New York playwright goes to Hollywood to make some quick money doing screenplays, specifically a wrestling picture. He can't quite get the hang of it. Assistance is available in the form of William Faulkner and possibly the devil himself, but nothing quite works. Then there's a murder... Gothic neo-noir?

Turturro and Goodman play off each other wonderfully, and the entire supporting cast is spectacular. I like the Coen brothers very much, and this may be my favorite of their movies.
