Postmodernism seems to favor a relativist approach to what have generally been considered the eternal verities. The point of deconstructionism, for example, is to show that the eternal verities aren't all that eternal, that they come from more or less identifiable sources and that they come weighted down with all sorts of very human biases.

It occurs to me that postmodern sophisticates have biases of their own, and that often their (possibly unconscious) goal is to copy and paste their verities over yours.

Of course, if we didn't have biases we'd probably be some exotic form of plant life, so maybe this is all to the good.
